As a Software Engineer (IN2) – Data Engineer at Walmart Global Tech, you’ll play a crucial role in developing innovative solutions that enhance the shopping experience for millions of people worldwide. Responsibilities

Develop world-class applications that meet and exceed the needs of the business and company.

Collaborate with team members to establish best practices and technical requirements for software development.
Design and develop highly scalable business applications using open-stack technologies.
Collaborate with upstream and downstream development teams to integrate business applications.

Engage with Walmart engineering teams globally to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
Continuously seek ways to improve software effectiveness and efficiency.
Provide coaching and training to other team members to ensure proficiency in software applications.

Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills

Programming experience in Python, ReactJS, Node.js, and other frontend technologies.
Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.

Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Understanding of code/design reviews, processes, and tools.
Familiarity with finance business functions and financial reporting.

Continuous drive to explore, improve, automate, and optimize systems and tools.
Exposure to information retrieval, statistics, and machine learning.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area.
0 to 1 year of experience in data engineering and frontend development, or 3 years’ experience in software engineering at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
