Uber Job Opening for Application Developer ITAM/ServiceNow Specialist to join our team in Hyderabad or Bangalore, India. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on expertise in implementing Service Now’s Software Asset Management (SAM) Pro and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Pro modules across multiple implementations. This role focuses on driving IT Asset Management (ITAM) initiatives, ensuring license compliance, and improving operational efficiency.

About 

As an Application Developer II – ServiceNow SAM at Uber, you will:

• Facilitate end-to-end SAM operations, including data quality checks, processing, and reporting.
• Build integrations to collect software license and usage data from SaaS and custom applications.
• Configure ServiceNow Software Asset Workspace for specific software publishers.
• Define and implement SAM program operating models, resource requirements, policies, and processes.
• Bring in best practices for license consumption reporting using SAM tools.
• Propose and execute improvement initiatives for software asset and license compliance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to implement and develop ServiceNow SAM Pro out-of-the-box features with minimal supervision.
• Configure and maintain discovery tools and Service Graph connectors to support ITAM operations.
• Manage data from various systems, including contracts, purchase records, and license agreements.
• Develop processes and documentation, explaining possible outcomes and ensuring clarity for stakeholders.
• Integrate ServiceNow with third-party tools and data sources using APIs, SCCM, and web services.
• Conduct workshops and training sessions to maximize team proficiency with ServiceNow ITAM solutions.

Skill

Basic Qualifications

• Experience: 2–6 years of hands-on expertise in ServiceNow SAM Pro, including knowledge of out-of-the-box processes and features.
• Licensing Models: Strong understanding of publisher licensing models (e.g., processor-based, core-based, floating users).
• Proficiency in discovery tools and Service Graph connectors for ITAM operations.
• Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, Glide Script, and ServiceNow platform capabilities.
• Experience in scripting, workflow configuration, and business rule development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in designing and implementing integrations using APIs, web services, and SCCM.
• Proven experience in conducting workshops and training sessions.
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Background: Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is preferred.
• Certifications: Relevant ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified Implementation Specialist – SAM) are a plus.
• Skillset: Ability to independently manage projects and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
