Responsibilities
As an R&D Engineer at Synopsys, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of technology. Your responsibilities will include:
- Automation using Jenkins and Self-Service Portal.
- Designing, developing, debugging, and managing development/test environments.
- Building and managing project plans, actively driving projects forward.
- Creating processes to maintain stability and performance of infrastructure.
- Monitoring infrastructure for service uptime and SLA adherence.
- Providing critical support for customer-facing services with a focus on achieving near 100% uptime.
- Writing technical and user documentation, including FAQs and handbooks.
Skills
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- Strong proficiency in PERL/Python and a good understanding of OOPS Concepts and Design patterns.
- Experience as a DevOps engineer, focusing on automating infrastructure tasks.
- Familiarity with continuous integration tools, specifically Jenkins.
- Proficiency in Source Control Management, including Perforce, Git, and GitHub.
- Experience with migrating applications to private cloud environments.
- Understanding of operational principles such as proactive capacity planning, monitoring, technology migrations, and incident handling.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with Agile practices.
- Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate keen attention to detail.
