Responsibilities

As an R&D Engineer at Synopsys, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of technology. Your responsibilities will include:

Automation using Jenkins and Self-Service Portal.
Designing, developing, debugging, and managing development/test environments.
Building and managing project plans, actively driving projects forward.

Creating processes to maintain stability and performance of infrastructure.
Monitoring infrastructure for service uptime and SLA adherence.
Providing critical support for customer-facing services with a focus on achieving near 100% uptime.

Writing technical and user documentation, including FAQs and handbooks.

Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

Strong proficiency in PERL/Python and a good understanding of OOPS Concepts and Design patterns.

Experience as a DevOps engineer, focusing on automating infrastructure tasks.
Familiarity with continuous integration tools, specifically Jenkins.
Proficiency in Source Control Management, including Perforce, Git, and GitHub.

Experience with migrating applications to private cloud environments.
Understanding of operational principles such as proactive capacity planning, monitoring, technology migrations, and incident handling.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Familiarity with Agile practices.
Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate keen attention to detail.
