Responsibilities
- Collaborating with software developers and optical engineers to define requirements and establish test acceptance criteria.
- Creating and executing comprehensive test plans and validation strategies specific to optical design and simulation software.
- Ensuring that imaging and illumination system models perform as expected through structured test scenarios.
- Working closely with stakeholders to refine test methodologies tailored to optical simulation.
- Analyzing, documenting, and reporting test results, and providing constructive feedback to development teams.
- Contributing to the evolution of automated testing frameworks, with a strong focus on quality assurance for optics-based software.
- Learning and integrating Python scripting for test automation and validation pipelines.
Skills
- Solid understanding of optical principles, including lens design, ray tracing, and system-level optical modeling.
- Familiarity with optical design tools such as CODE V, LightTools, RSoft, or similar platforms.
- Ability to understand and test complex simulation models and translate them into effective QA strategies.
- Knowledge or willingness to learn Python or other scripting languages for automated test development.
- Strong analytical thinking and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and documentation skills.
Eligibity Criteria

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optics, Physics, or a related field.

0–2 years of experience in optical engineering or software QA/testing.

A strong foundation in optical design principles and tools.

Enthusiasm to learn and grow in the field of optical software development and testing.
