Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst at Morningstar Wealth, you will:

  1. Collaborate with Product Teams
    • Work closely with product teams to understand, collaborate, and deliver requirements and user stories addressing customer problems.
  2. Stakeholder Communication
    • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
  3. Cross-functional Partnership
    • Partner with product managers, developers, designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality solutions meeting user needs and expectations.
  4. Software Development Support
    • Assist software development teams in designing, building, and delivering outcomes.
  5. Analysis and Solution Proposals
    • Conduct analysis and propose solutions to guide the development and expansion of software.
  6. Documentation and User Stories
    • Capture and document user stories, behavior-driven development cases, and acceptance criteria with peers and subject matter experts.
  7. Gap Analysis and Solutions
    • Conduct gap analysis and provide alternative options and solutions.
  8. Backlog Definition
    • Work closely with the team to clearly define and prioritize the backlog.
  9. Quality Control Oversight
    • Oversee quality control, peer review, and sign-off on project deliverables for areas of accountability.
  10. Project Documentation
    • Create, input, and review relevant project documentation and project plans.
  11. Training and Support
    • Prepare and conduct training when appropriate, facilitating the delivery of product changes to clients.
  12. Testing and User Support
    • Conduct functional, exploratory, and user testing when required. Provide training and support to end-users and clients on the features and functionality of Morningstar Wealth products.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, computer science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a business analyst or product owner.
  • Strong knowledge of wealth management products and services.
  • Experience in an agile environment and user experience design.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and common cloud-based software.
  • Organizational and time management skills.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, computer science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a business analyst or product owner.
  • Strong knowledge of wealth management products and services.
  • Experience in an agile environment.
