Responsibilities
As a Business Analyst at Morningstar Wealth, you will:
- Collaborate with Product Teams
- Work closely with product teams to understand, collaborate, and deliver requirements and user stories addressing customer problems.
- Stakeholder Communication
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Cross-functional Partnership
- Partner with product managers, developers, designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality solutions meeting user needs and expectations.
- Software Development Support
- Assist software development teams in designing, building, and delivering outcomes.
- Analysis and Solution Proposals
- Conduct analysis and propose solutions to guide the development and expansion of software.
- Documentation and User Stories
- Capture and document user stories, behavior-driven development cases, and acceptance criteria with peers and subject matter experts.
- Gap Analysis and Solutions
- Conduct gap analysis and provide alternative options and solutions.
- Backlog Definition
- Work closely with the team to clearly define and prioritize the backlog.
- Quality Control Oversight
- Oversee quality control, peer review, and sign-off on project deliverables for areas of accountability.
- Project Documentation
- Create, input, and review relevant project documentation and project plans.
- Training and Support
- Prepare and conduct training when appropriate, facilitating the delivery of product changes to clients.
- Testing and User Support
- Conduct functional, exploratory, and user testing when required. Provide training and support to end-users and clients on the features and functionality of Morningstar Wealth products.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, computer science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a business analyst or product owner.
- Strong knowledge of wealth management products and services.
- Experience in an agile environment and user experience design.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and common cloud-based software.
- Organizational and time management skills.
