Responsibilities
As a Field Engineer at Jio, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring material tracking and reconciliation management to maintain efficient operations.
- Regularly visiting sites to ensure operational functionality and address any issues.
- Supervising radio frequency optimization activities to optimize network performance.
- Overseeing the quality control of vendors and contractors to maintain service standards.
- Conducting acceptance test processes to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Assisting Senior Field Engineers in conducting audits as needed.
- Managing deployment activities conducted by vendors and contractors.
- Configuring L2 switches to enhance network connectivity.
- Troubleshooting router faults and replacing faulty hardware as necessary.
- Upgrading link capacity or microwave systems for sites with high utilization.
- Executing field activities according to work orders issued by the Network Operations Centre.
- Meeting with customers, conducting surveys, and providing feedback on network coverage and capacity improvement.
- Releasing Fiber-to-the-Home desktop plans and conducting joint field surveys for verification.
- Releasing final designs for construction in compliance with engineering and business guidelines.
- Releasing capacity augmentation and change request plans as required for execution continuity.
