Responsibilities
As an Infra Monitoring Engineer at Hexaware, you will be responsible for monitoring the company’s Network/Data Center infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:
- Network Monitoring:
- Utilize various network/Data Center monitoring tools like ELK (Elastic Search) and SolarWinds to monitor the company’s infrastructure.
- Identify and resolve network issues and incidents promptly.
- Analysis and Proactive Issue Resolution:
- Analyze monitoring data and alerts to identify trends and patterns.
- Proactively address potential issues before they become critical problems.
- Collaboration and Troubleshooting:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues.
- Document incidents and resolutions in a ticketing system.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, security policies, and best practices.
- Provide reports and updates to senior management on network performance and availability.
- Automation and Scripting:
- Use scripting and automation tools such as Python, Perl, or Bash to enhance monitoring capabilities.
- Testing and Implementation:
- Participate in the testing and implementation of network infrastructure changes.
- Vendor Collaboration:
- Collaborate with vendors and external partners to ensure successful service delivery.
Skills
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following skills:
- In-depth knowledge of networking technologies, protocols, and architectures.
- Experience with network monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, or similar.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as Python, Perl, Bash, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with ITIL, ISO 20000, or other IT service management frameworks is a plus.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in network operations, network engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
