About the Role
- Work on automation of system-level scenarios using BDD tools like Cucumber and scripting languages like Ruby, Python, or Java.
- Collaborate with project teams to review software requirements and enhance automation testability.
- Create and validate step definitions/bindings for feature files.
- Conduct regular research to improve the automation framework.
- Test functionality as per the test plan and update execution status in the system.
- Log defects and participate in client interactions for updates.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and review software requirements for automation.
- Develop automation tests for system-level scenarios using BDD frameworks.
- Create reusable libraries and improve automation frameworks.
- Ensure comprehensive test case coverage based on functional specifications.
- Execute test cases and document results in the system.
- Log and track defects to resolution.
- Collaborate with team members and interact with clients for updates.
Skills
- Primary Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
- Expertise in automation testing tools like Selenium.
- Proficiency in Ruby, Python, or Java.
- Knowledge of APIs and SQL.
Secondary Skills:
- Automation Testing (using frameworks and libraries).
- Effective communication and team collaboration.
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: BE/BTech in a relevant field.
- Experience: 0–2.5 years of relevant experience (freshers welcome).
- Other Requirements:
- Passion for testing and improving software quality.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and agile environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
