Description

Dentsu looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru, Pune, or Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, improving, cleaning, and manipulating data across operational and analytics databases. This role requires close collaboration with software engineers, data analytics teams, data scientists, and data warehouse engineers to implement database requirements, analyze performance, and resolve any technical challenges.

About

As a Data Engineer, you will:

• Design and maintain optimal data pipeline architectures to support business analytics and operational databases.
• Assemble and manage large, complex data sets that align with functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Implement internal process improvements such as automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and enhancing infrastructure scalability.
• Develop analytics tools that leverage data pipelines to drive insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and key business performance metrics.
• Collaborate with executives, product teams, data teams, and designers to support data infrastructure and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure data security and integrity by keeping data storage solutions compliant with security best practices.
• Build data tools and solutions to empower analytics and data science teams for enhanced functionality and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage ETL pipelines to efficiently extract, transform, and load data.
• Optimize database performance and troubleshoot any data-related issues.
• Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
• Work closely with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into data solutions.
• Support data infrastructure by maintaining cloud-based data storage solutions.
• Ensure data quality and consistency across multiple sources and platforms.

Skills

Basic Qualifications

• Experience: experience in data engineering or related fields.
• Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python, SQL, or Scala for data processing.
• Big Data Technologies: Experience with Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
• Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Database Management: Strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.).
• ETL Development: Experience in building and optimizing ETL processes.
• Data Warehousing: Familiarity with Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in real-time data processing and streaming frameworks.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
• Knowledge of DevOps tools for CI/CD in data engineering.

Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in teams.
