Responsibilities

As a Junior Cloud Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

Monitoring cloud systems and responding promptly to alerts for quick issue resolution.
Providing support for defects and tickets, collaborating with customers and internal teams for effective solutions.
Assisting in reporting and validation of backup processes to ensure data integrity and availability.

Contributing to documentation efforts, including creating clear and comprehensive documentation and Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) for incidents.
Performing system patching, maintenance tasks, and general system upkeep following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Identifying opportunities for incremental automation and innovation, implementing new solutions to enhance efficiency.

Skills

The ideal candidate should possess:

Basic understanding of Microsoft technologies including Windows Server 2019, MS SQL, and IIS.
Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment tools such as Jenkins and Rundeck.

Exposure to monitoring and performance management tools like New Relic and Splunk.
Knowledge of virtualization technologies, particularly VMware.
Proficiency in Linux administration and shell scripting.

Understanding of AWS services, with experience working with Amazon EC2 instances.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
Strong attention to detail and dedication to producing high-quality work.

Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude towards professional growth.
Any relevant certifications or coursework in cloud computing or system administration will be a plus.
