Responsibilities

As a Trainee – Junior Data Analyst at Cognizant, your responsibilities include:

  1. Business/Customer:
    • Interacting minimally with customers under guidance.
    • Understanding domain processes, sub-processes, and terminologies such as SOP and QC checklists.
    • Performing data entry tasks from source documents into respective databases with a focus on accuracy and meeting turnaround times.
  2. Coding:
    • Conducting coding activities on assigned projects with efficiency and adherence to timelines.
    • Importing uncoded terms into the database and exporting coded medical terms from the coding platform.
    • Managing queries and prioritizing “New Term Requests.”
    • Performing dictionary upversioning activities as required.
  3. CDM (Clinical Data Management):
    • Engaging in limited study conduct activities.
    • Assisting in data review and query management.
    • Participating in limited email conversations with clients.
    • Conducting peer QC for every activity under supervision.
    • No involvement in setup and migration activities.
  4. Project/Process:
    • Handling first-level processing of assigned transactions, with complex problems referred to supervisors or line managers.
    • Achieving quality requirements and targets within specified turnaround times.
    • Adhering to mandatory industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  5. Knowledge Management:
    • Understanding various document templates, standards (e.g., SOPs), and related terminologies for accurate interpretation.

Skills

In addition to the responsibilities mentioned, the following skills are essential:

  • Pharmacovigilance & Safety Ops knowledge.
  • Experience in PV Case Processing.

  • Education: Graduate/Post Graduate/Doctorate degree in life sciences/pharmacy/medical sciences/registered nurse.
