Siemens Digital Industries Software is offering a 13-month Engineering Internship in Pune, India for students passionate about Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Software Engineering, and Testing. This hybrid internship provides exposure to real-world CFD applications, software development, and validation studies. The internship starts in July 2025 and offers hands-on learning opportunities with industry-leading simulation tools.

About

Interns will be placed in one of the following roles:

1. CFD/Software Engineering/Testing – Working with Simcenter Flomaster, developing new features, improving software functionalities, and conducting validation studies.
2. CFD/CAE Testing – Working with Simcenter Flotherm, testing software products, automating tests, and collaborating on real-world CFD applications.

This internship is ideal for students who are passionate about engineering simulations, programming, and system-level modeling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test CFD software solutions for engineering applications.
• Work on software engineering tasks such as feature enhancements and automation testing.
• Create validation studies to demonstrate software capabilities.
• Collaborate with development and quality assurance teams.
• Conduct performance tests and assist in product documentation.
• Learn and apply CAD, Python, MATLAB, and other engineering tools.
• Contribute to product training and marketing materials.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of CFD principles and engineering software.
• Experience with CAD tools and programming languages (Python, MATLAB, etc.).
• Ability to work in collaborative and independent environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Eligibility Criteria

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics.
• Preferred engineering disciplines: Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Robotics, or Materials Science.
• On track for a First or 2:1 degree.
• Knowledge of CFD software and programming is an advantage
