As an Analyst, you will play a key role in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to guide business decisions regarding transportation needs and operational efficiency. Your insights will ensure the right number of trucks is allocated each month to provide cost-effective and reliable service to stakeholders. This role is critical in ensuring seamless road transport operations by analyzing supply scenarios, identifying improvement opportunities, and enhancing operational efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, monitor performance metrics, and support decision-making with actionable insights.

About the Role

The role is a part of the Road Transport Operations team responsible for ensuring seamless transportation services. Working closely with cross-functional teams such as Order to Deliver, Mobility, and hauler partners, you will monitor performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and provide actionable insights. The role also emphasizes operational efficiency, compliance, and process standardization in alignment with company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Tasks:
    • Track and analyze road transport data using the MIS for leadership reviews.
    • Monitor contractor SLAs for timeliness and accuracy.
    • Conduct root cause analyses for stockouts, tanker delays, and other operational inefficiencies.
    • Share daily situational reports with relevant teams.
  • Monthly Tasks:
    • Prepare financial analyses and insights for leadership.
    • Lead monthly interface meetings with stakeholders to monitor service agreements.
    • Support the annual budgeting exercise for road transport operations.
  • Process Optimization:
    • Collaborate with teams to identify value leakages and enhance service levels, safety, and costs.
    • Participate in CI/Lean projects to standardize and simplify processes.
  • Data Management:
    • Ensure accurate customer, site, and operational data in tools like CROSS, GSAP, and VMIFE.
    • Generate reports on fleet planning, fuel delivery, and turnaround times.

Skills

  1. Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  2. Familiarity with supply chain, fleet management, or logistics operations.
  3. Proficiency in reporting tools and software such as GSAP, CROSS, or similar systems.
  4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Education: BE/BTech in IT, Computer Science, Operations, or related fields.
  • Experience: Freshers or candidates with up to 2.5 years of experience.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Strong aptitude for data-driven decision-making.
    • Passion for process improvement and operational excellence.
